BE offers Low Voltage Fire Resistant Cables, in accordance with International (IEC) and British (BS) standards.

FR cables are used in a wide range of electrical applications like emergency systems, stand-by power supplies and elevators in subway substations, airports, public locations, hotels and hospitals.

BE is the first accredited company in KSA by BASEC and LPCB for Fire-resistant cables. All tests of FR cables are carried out in accordance with IEC 60502-1, BS 7846, BS 7211 and BS 6387 CAT CWZ in its own laboratories accredited by A2LA ISO/IEC 17025:2005.

Specification:
  • Electrical low voltage cables complying with IEC 60502-1 BS 7846.
  • Our products tested at internationally reputable labs, LPCB, BASEC & bsi.
  • All cable are Flame Retardant to IEC 60332-3.24 Category C Flame Propagation Test, Oil resistance and Sunlight & UV Resistant.
  • Fire resistant test as per BS 6387 (CWZ) 950 °C for 3 hour.
Conductor:
  • High conductivity soft annealed copper according to BS EN 60228, Class 1, Class 2 stranded and Class 5 flexible conductor wrapped with mica tapes.
  • Conductor can be offered with round, round compacted and sectored shape.
Insulation:
  • Cross-linked polyethylene (XLPE) with Maximum service temperature 90ºC.
Armoring (upon request):
  • Aluminum Wire Armored “AWA” for single core cable.
  • Galvanized steel wire “SWA” for multi core cable.
Outer Sheathing:
  • Low Smoke & Fume Zero Halogen (LS0H)
Special Requirements (upon request):
  • High flame propagation tests: IEC 60332-3.23 Category B - IEC 60332-3.22 Category A
  • Fire performance: F120 - F2 - IEC 60331 - BS 6387 (CWZ)
